[KIT] How to make dim sum?

As we can see nowadays, dim sum is the most popular dish eaten all over China and also around the world. The dishes are believed to have originated in southern China’s Guangdong region before eventually making their way to Hong Kong. In the latter half of the 19th century in the port city of Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong, after opium dens were banned throughout the country. Silk Road travelers and traders should take breaks in tea houses for a dim sum meal. And this practice continued to spread all around China and especially Hong Kong.

When will we have this kind of dish?

Most restaurants serve dim sum as early as five in the morning and most other restaurants typically serve dim sum from mid-morning until mid-afternoon. Moreover, dim sum is the most popular dish that people prefer to have when they have meetings with their family, business and their friends because these dishes will be suitable for everyone to enjoy when they are talking and discussing some topics. On the other hand, people can make it by themselves at home and they can go to buy it from any restaurant that serves dim sum. Especially when people go to buy it from a restaurant, they never forget to buy it for their parents as well. 

If they want to do it by themselves, they have to spend more time making it because in order to make dim sum, it requires more steps to reach one dish of dim sum. One more thing, they need to buy all the ingredients that they use to make it. If you miss one kind of ingredient, you won’t be able to taste a real dim sum.

Chinese dumplings (jiaozi) are a popular dish during the Lunar New Year season but are also a fun and delicious appetizer, dinner food, and snack to enjoy at any time of the year.
